Hi everyone I found this 20g hexagon tank on the side of the road and recently bought a stand for it. After putting the tank on it I realized it’s a tight fit and the back side of the tank hangs off about an inch. Is this a serious issue? Or should I return what I bought? Thanks!

I would find a stand that the tank will full sit on. I like to have 1/2"-3/4" extra on the stand but that is me. As long as the tank fully sits on the stand then it will be ok.

Personally, I'd top it with a bit oversized piece of 3/4" plywood to let the full bottom frame sit on,,, hanging slightly off the back (and one side if needed).

I'd wonder about the integrity of the stand, too. (Can't tell from the picture).
Was it designed to hold an aquarium?
*remember water is heavy so vertical supports that transfer load to the ground are important
