THE DIRTY SKIMMER "CUP" - lets all play along

Idle is when the skimmer foam head goes down without feeding or putting your hand int he tank and it stays low with no skimmate production till feeding...

I feed everyday so I guess mine never idles

Took my photo (above), looked at the tank, sat down, realized my skimmer was overflowing! Whatever I touched within the sump made my skimmer mad and ran super wet in 5 minutes! So I started over, my bad!

This is interesting that the cup only went up 1/4" since yesterday after going up 1/2" in the first 24hrs.

No GFO No Carbon
6 Clownfish, 4 Firefish Gobys, 3 Tangs, 1 Mandarin Dragonet, 1 Leopard Wrasse
1 cube of Rods Food mixed with Reef-Roids & Reef Chili & Amino's every other day.

I am about to do an 20% water change so I am curious how this will affect skimming for tomorrow's pics. Stay tuned.......

ReeferIX - yeah I never noticed it before either but my skimmer seems to have slowed significantly from day 2-3, here is day three:

Day three. Still getting my skimmer tuned in and I opened the valve a bit too much so the water level dropped too far and I didn't get any noticeable skimmate overnight. No change since yesterday. Also, I lost my fish last night. Seems like flukes was the culprit. I have no real livestock left but I'll keep posting pics here just for the sake of it.

I wish I could share the smell with everyone when I dump it. So bad it gets dumped outside.
