Don't hold back.. tell us how you really feel LOL!
Hope your day is great. Thanks for the laugh!

Not a tang fan here either.
I probably should have had more coffee before I said anything... Now when I look at my tangs all I can hear them say is "yo momma" jokes.

Most tangs are jurks. Some are homicidal lunatics. Few exceptions and its with the naso group. Naso tangs are on the more chill side but the largest of tangs. Everyone else either has a stick up their... or their panties lit on fire.
fair point. mitigation between the kole and the powder brown, for me at least, isn't too hard, just takes food. Which seems understandable to me.

I might at $17. They're mean though, right?

very few fish I would pay $200 for. Especially washed-out babies that look quite hungry.
Mine wasn't mean back in 2008...

also saw some yellow tangs at the petco yesterday. "modestly" priced at $200; they were the size of a quarter, maybe pushing half-dollar coin, maybe.

I passed on them.
Now I don’t feel so bad about paying what I paid for my adult size supposed true Hawaii yellow tangs, ( I heard rumors they might actually be from Christmas Island sold as Hawaiian. But they are still wild caught so…

I was shocked at the price. But I think it's set by corporate, and they only see "yellow tang" not "baby"

lfs had a sleeper goby. They're cool looking. Didn't get it though. Might go back.
Also had a lunar wrasse, mighty fine indeed! Also didn't get.
Pass on the lunar wrasse. Unless you are willing to chance the fish ripping out the eyes of their tank mates. Some do fine, most go on killing sprees.

I'll call on Tuesday to see if it's still there. The copperbands were gone.

Pretty though. I don't need more chaos in the tank. Nore another big fish.

Was thinking today about a handful of chromis or something equally small and benign.

Anthias....

No personal experience with them but I need to see MOAR.

I'm simple.
maybe, if @Fish Styx ever catches the menace in his tank. but they cost mor and are harder to keep. Chromis, although less interesting, are much more set and forget.

I love my anthias! Unfortunately two of them changed sex and now I have two males. They have been getting along lately, though. 1) the tank is large; B) they are fast AF; and 3) I suck at catching fish. Looks like they'll be staying together for awhile.
