Looking good,

Any particular reasom on your T5 combo selection?

I'm running 50/50 B+, C+ (ati powermodule) and i'm thinking about going more B+ but worried about having a blue tank.

Also, more equipment rundown and pictures please ;)

I choose the bulb color based on Big E. I have some ocd and like his thoughts on even blanket of spectrum across the tank. Plus Ive ran this combo in the past and had great results.

Ahhhh yes.
That ole cartoon artificial glow... The Jimmy Hendricks black light poster look.
Some of you older guys know what I'm talking about. Anyone ever try a black light on their reef tank? Do they even still make them.. Haha

I know exactly what your talking about! With all t5's on you cannot see it but it gives just enough pop with a 14kish look.

Update finally. The tank has been running for 18 months now and I've just now started to be able to keep SPS alive. I have tried many times over the past 18months but every time they would just slowly die. I searched high and low but found nothing wrong with the tank. I did start the tank from 100% dry rock and zero seeding except for bottled bacteria sources. About 4 months ago after being a fish only basically, I made the decision to buy live rock out of Florida and overnight it to the house. I rinsed the rock with water change water from my other tank and put it in this tank. After 3 months of allowing the tank to season/seed with the new rock, coralline algae started exploding everywhere. Once I saw this happening I started doing 15% water changes for 6 weeks to reset the tank. I also started dosing NOPX to reduce my nitrates down a bit from 25-30. Some how two SPS frags managed to hang on through the tanks "slow death phase" and are now showing signs of some growth with coloration increases. I think the tank has finally turned for the good. Here are a few pictures showing the added rock w/coralline.
