What is it need to know. Also need to know where people are getting it from
I really have no idea, the vendor didn't know either. I bought it at Reefapalooza (forgot which vendor, I visited every booth) this past weekend. $40 for a 1/2" size glued to a frag plug. Rather pricey but I think the rarity and color justifies it.

That post was saying how much I bought it for and where. Not sure if I'm willing to sell, or if I'm even set up to do so. (I've sunk $15k+ in this hobby but haven't sold a single thing yet :winking-face-with-tongue:)

But if I do, I'll remember you first for this no-name macroalgae :)

If it's growing as fast as chaeto, I'll send you some for free + shipping! The vendor at reefapalooza told me it's an extremely slow grower.

I currently have this "frag" in it's own acclimation box in the DT (shared with the CSB nem). Otherwise, tangs will eat it, and light in refugium might not be enough.

Smart!

I was just thinking about removing current algae in macro tank to sump and getting a big pack from mosaic

Yes! Macros are awesome! Here’s some pictures of my sunlit refugium. Algae grows so much faster than coral it’s a constantly changing underwater garden. Perfect place for all those cool little invertebrates that would get lost in a larger aquarium. And many times I have to turn off my skimmer it’s so efficient at lowering nutrients.

Hi Lakereef,
Beautiful garden! What species is the purple one in the center of pic #3 and the red/blue-orange tipped one in the 5th picture?
