What type of aquarium sand should you add to a new reef tank? We hear this question all the time in our stores, and we wanted to share the different types of sand we use at World Wide Corals in our display tanks, the farm and our tanks at home. Of course, you can even set up an amazing reef aquarium without any sand if you choose.

Clownfish blew up in popularity thanks to a certain movie, but here are World Wide Corals we are have always loved these brightly colored fish. With their size, easy to feed diet, and instinct to pair off, Clownfish make a great addition to your saltwater aquariums! Victor & Steven take turns going over the most frequently asked questions that cover everything you need to know to about clownfish care. Then, it's time to finally add the clownfish pairs to the large display tanks at World Wide Corals. Our 1,200 gallon lagoon and 1,500 gallon show tank are both receiving a pair of clownfish from ProAquatix.

Underneath the Radion & Kessil lights sits a 300-gallon reef tank full of colorful high-end coral and "magical" saltwater fish! Inside you are going to find SPS, LPS, and RARE SOFT CORALS mixed in with a menagerie of TANGS, PARROT FISH, and other TROPICAL FISH. Victor chats with Spencer about some of the show stopping pieces that are in this amazing saltwater aquarium and what it takes to maintain a 6ft x 26" x 30" tall tank

Dead coral. Dead fish. These are words that no saltwater aquarium hobbyist wants to hear. Unfortunately, it is a reality that we have to deal with. Victor shares some of his recent challenges and walks us through his reef tank cleaning routine. Did any fish or coral survive? Is his tank ready for more coral or will it need to quarantine??? As a fun distraction, the team visits the Festival of Speed and shows off some of the dynamic cars that were there

What inspires people to get into the reefing hobby? Was there a specific reef tank you saw that you wanted to recreate? An old friend of Vic's, Joey, invited us to his house to show off his awesome 220 gallon waterbox saltwater aquarium and share his story of how he got into the hobby. In two years, the coral frag growth in his tank is nothing short of amazing! The impressive list of colorful corals includes pectinia, chalice corals, mushrooms, zoanthids, and more!

Ever wondered where the aquascape structures for saltwater aquariums comes from? Join us as we visit the famous MarcoRocks in Homestead, FL. Victor and Josh learn more about MarcoRocks as they cherry pick 2,500 pounds of beautiful dry rock harvested from what used to be an ancient reef. MarcoRocks has zero impact on our living reefs, and the dry rock they picked won't be dry for long!

It's a new year, and your saltwater aquarium deserves the right parameters. Calcium, Magnesium, Alkalinity, Nitrates, etc., these are the building blocks for a healthy reef tank. Water Testing kits help make sure your reef tank parameters are exactly where they need to be. They make the difference between a reef that is failing, one that is simply alive, and one that is thriving. In this video, we go over how to test your water and why each test is important.

It's time for Victor to show you around these 2 incredible systems at the entrance of the WWC Superstore. The saltwater reef lagoon is growing out of control and some changes are needed! Also, there are some resident fish causing trouble in the fish only system. Let us know what fish you would like to see in there!

We frequently get asked about how to properly acclimate new corals to a saltwater aquarium. Taking the wrong steps, or not acclimating at all, can cause your new coral frags to be stressed out or worse. There is so much conflicting information out there, so Victor is here to set the record straight! Vic shows you the World Wide Corals way of acclimating new corals to your saltwater aquarium.

Here at World Wide Corals, we have over 40,000 gallons of reef tanks! Most people are familiar with our famous 1200 gallon pentagon tank and the 1500 gallon tank, home to Casper the white tang, but there are many more reef tanks in our Orlando Superstore location that the public does not get to see! We actually have over 40 display saltwater aquariums all throughout our store, farm, and offices! Today we are opening the doors and giving you a special tour of every display reef tank!

Like many other beautiful things in Miami, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is made to be seen. But unlike the other beautiful things in Miami, Frost Science–best described as part aquarium, part science museum–has a lot of substance. During our visit, the Power of Science exhibition is where we spent the majority of our time. Here is where you can find the largest reef tank in Miami. With approximately 12,000 gallon of constantly filtered natural saltwater, this gigantic reef tank mimics the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system. With over 600 fish and thousands of different live coral species, set in an exhibit gallery with a price tag of over $5,000,000, a trip to South Florida would not be complete without a visit to Frost Science to see this reef.
