Is there a sample line filter replacement anyone knows of that works with the trident? I don’t run filter socks so I’d like to replace them every 6 months or so. Thanks

The Trident service kit includes the filter but they are all out of stock. You can try to contact Neptune and see if they would sent you one.

Yea I was hoping someone found one on Amazon or something. They’re probably a couple dollars as opposed to the entire kit or if Neptune sold them individually they’d be like $30 lol

Never mind that's too big.
But it's probably a good idea to have a spare. I'm going to keep looking. There's no way Neptune systems made that thing from scratch

I found the barbs on these way too big for the trident lines. They are tiny.

Yup. I noticed it's 5/16 after I posted. Sometimes when I do a search for say 1/8 I don't pay attention to the actual results.

But I stand by my statement of there is no way Neptune systems created that part from scratch.

I don't run filter pad or any kind of mechanical filter. Haven't had a problem with the water line being clogged.
Maybe I should start using the trident sample line water filter.

Most people who have problems with their trident are the ones not using the little filter. It wasn't even very clear in the instructions to put it on.

I think that is why Trident has a reputation for being 50/50 good. I have had zero problems with mine and I had the filter installed from day one and did not cut either of the tubes.

Found it.
I got my calipers out and measured the tubing.

It’s been a little while but would you say 65 micron or something more fine like 105 or 250 micron

Bumping this thread. What filter size do you recommend 60. 100. Or the 250?
The 'finest' is 65. I dont know if that will clog up too quickly though. I wonder if that material on mcmaster is reef tank water safe hmm.

I'd stay in the middle and get the 100 micron.

If this could clog those little peristaltic pumps, we've got issues bigger than which filter to use
