trident testing magnesium

Has anyone else here compared their trident magnesium test results to another test kit? I've always noticed that mine test lower than what my red sea test kit shows. I also just found this BRS video and they seemed to have gotten the same result

Haven't used my red sea MG test kit in a while, but when I did it was consistently higher than the trident, by about 50 if memory serves. Key is that it was consistently so (thus precision) and that both measurements were within the acceptability range. FWIW, same experience with the Hanna alkalinity monitor which reads 0.9 dkh higher than trident. Speaks to the inherent challenges of establishing accuracy .... and the pointlessness.

my alk and ca results w/ hanna are almost dead on with trident. I just can't get Mag to get consistant. sometimes its almost exact w/ trident and then sometimes i'm 100 points higher than trident. For sure red sea mag test kit always comes out higher than trident though.
