it sometimes drops pieces of itself, and you'll find new colonies growing in random places, but nowhere near as hard to remove as GSP in my opinion
I mean it is peaceful, or at least thats what im reading so it can chill, if the new colonies die then they shouldve dropped themselves off onto an empty space
