I know this is a really old thread but I was able to acquire a frag of this and wanted to see if anyone has had success with it thus far and what types of light it's under along with coral placement....

Very common stony here in my place. I saw a few good size colony near public beaches under 3' of water during lowest tide.

Lol yes, I'm sure theyre very common in the ocean but I'm speaking about captivity in a reef tank.

LOL. They don't look appealing actually. Those commoner are mostly green. Structure wise fall under same category, boring :D. Huge tank might be a different story.

Thanks for your opinion but have you actually kept one in a reef tank? The frag I got looks exactly like the pic in the reefbuilders article which I happen to think is a unique and attractive piece...

Those are beautiful. Ours are common green. I kept one when I still have a lot of space. It grows as fast as montipora. Picture of common type in my place.
