The only thing I was thinking about UV when I need to maintenance the unit it will get water over the stand. I will put in valves I guess or unions so I can remove the whole unit I guess. What did you do?

I kept one of those and he was the absolute favorite fish I've ever had. It had sooo much personality and was always active burrowing and building. For whatever reason he loved using my gold hammer as a support for his main tunnel. It was funny at first but got real old real fast lol.

I purposely added sand and a lid to keep. I can just sit and watch him dig his holes in the sand all day.
