Unbalanced Dosing

I always thought that if you calcium is high like yours you alk would be low. You need to lower your calcium. I would not t dose calcium until it is like 420. And check your magnesium

Nope, that isn't true. Another oversimplification that made its ugly way into mainstream reef chemistry mythology. :D

Well over 6 days my calcium dropped from 582 to 489 with no dosing, while my alk has been maintained by dosing at about 7.7. I'm going to start dosing my 2 part in equal amounts and see if the depletion rates stay in sync.
