uv in fresh saltwater reservoir

For the people that do automatic water changes. Does anyone run a UV sterilizer in the fresh saltwater reservoir tank, at least once a month I have to clean mines because it gets kind of gooey.

I never did and don’t see any benefit of using one in that scenario.
