Hi all!

I have a 155 reef aquarium that I'm running and FX5 on. I don't mind it, but cleaning the fx is a pain in the butt

The way my stand is made, I can't do a "long" sump, and with my aquarium fully set up (and tempered glass) I can't drill either. So, my thoughts, a 15 gallon tower aquarium set up as a vertical sump? Thoughts? How would one get this to work without drilling?

It won’t unless you use a siphon style overflow and they come with risks….like flooding your home with saltwater. Not worth it.

Also as a note , I assume you mean by a “vertical sump” it would be placed above your DT?

You can I did that. I used the fx4 as my pump. Gravity return

No, under, the sump would just be tall instead of long

Hob overflow with lift pump. Into whatever sump you want
