Hey everyone, so the wife, I and my son visited a small public aquarium in Hervey Bay. Which is in Queensland and near the southern end of the barrier reef. It was awesome to see some healthy large fish like tangs, lion fish, triggers and reef sharks. Unfortunately the coral wasn't to great as during a significant weather event in 2011 the aquarium was impacted by floods and they lost everything. So to see it still operating was amazing.
The best thing is they are a turtle rehabilitation centre with two outdoor pools. One has permanent turtles that for health reasons can't be released and you can go the pool and pat them! Was incredible they were so beautiful.
I took some photos of some of the fish. The orange shoudler, triggers and big blue tangs were beautiful, but the lion fish stole the show.
Was a beautiful lion @Lionfish Lair
