welcome aboard the r2r board! hello from PA!

check your drain/return lines for any clogging. double check with your gate or ball valve to see if you can correct the flow so the gurgling stops

Can you tell us more about the system or better yet, take a picture? If it has a sump and an adjustable valve on the drain, you can start by adjusting that slightly. I assume it's topped off and not gurgling because of low volume?

Help I have 175 gallon reef tank set up as fresh water. Had no problems for years. Now the water is constantly gurgling as it recirculates. Hard to sleep at night. What to do???Please

Appreciate all the replies. I think it was just too full. I took out gallons of water and it seems to have stopped. It is an oceanic that was given to me years ago and it does have a sump but I know very little about caring for it. Is there any kind of manual for it? It is 20 years old at least and was originally used as a saltwater tank

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
