I want to use a external pump plumped in to DT(hidden) and floor drain to be controlled by apex water level optical sensor. When activated it will pump down to sensor and shut off.
My question is...
1. What pump would prime and suck 5’ away? Pump will be on floor and DT is 36” off the ground.
2.How could I stop the siphon when pump shuts down?
