Hi guys!

I have a gorgeous big neon green leather toadstool,
It opens beautifully throughout the day, however tonight when looking at it while it closed, I noticed a weird kind of fungus looking thing on its base.
Thought maybe its been fragged poorly, but wanted to post to see if its something to be concerned about.

Looks like sponge growth. As long as the coral looks good I would not be concerned nor would I interven.

Nice looking Sacrophyton.

I would consider dipping that and treating it. I'd also check the area closer. If the flesh is truly grayed out and spongey, I'd probably cut it off. It looks like some type of infection honestly but it's impossible to know for sure with a photo.
