What’s the most ridiculous advice u got from lfs in dealing with velvet/ich?

After 10 years in the hobby, today’s probably the one.

One of the lfs owner told me to add 10 chromis to eat all the velvet. It’ll solve the issue

Thats ridiculous. It takes at least 11 Chromis to do that.

The worst advice isn't the outlandish stuff that you immediately know to be false - it is is insidious treatment advice that sounds plausible, and seems easy to do - THAT's what kills fish. Even if the advice doesn't kill the fish outright, it delays proper treatment and that delay is then fatal.
