Hi all ,

I have a question regarding a 10 gallon tank I put together my display tank is a 32 gallon Biocube. I had a couple of 10 gallon tanks at home and need to remove cleaner shrimp from my display tank. The tank is now about 6 months old.

Early on I noticed these white spots or calcifications developing around the tank. I thought it may be some form of algae like corralline (but white) but I’m really not sure.

Can anyone please identify this for me. My display tank is 2 years old and I don’t have that in the DT.

Is it something I should be concerned about or need to remove?

Any information/guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
