I still have the one and only used Klaes skimmer that I had purchased way back when I first got into the hobby. Haven't used it as I do weekly water changes. Fortunately years ago a kind friend freely gave me a Bubble King Deluxe 250 with pumps etc. when he upgraded his system!!

I was looking at picking up a vertex 150 cheap on black friday deals but finally figured out my RO super cone elite prime (what ever its called, its a vertex clone) will run on a cheap Aquatrance 1800s as a replacement pump so ill probably stick with it, not worth it to buy a varios 2s plus adapter as that costs almost what a new skimmer costs from vertex.

BK double cone 200. On a 240 gallon cube with 30+fish and the skimmer doesn't even sweat to keep up. Could add 10-15 more fish easily I think. The thing is a B-E-A-S-T!

Skimz SN123 I believe. I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. It releases way too many micro bubbles no matter what you do and taking the cup off is a serious chore. I will break something one day trying to get that stupid cup on and off. The o ring design is just plain dumb IMO.

It is quiet and pulls a ton of stuff though. Parts are also easily found at BRS if needed.

Reef Octo 150SSS and this thing pulls tons of stuff no matter what the setting. On low I get a wet pull but turn it up to 5 and it pulls a ton still and it is extremely dark.
