Where do you buy your kalkwasser from?

I just get the Brightwell Kalk from my local LFS. If you have any LFS close I'd check there first. I'm honestly not sure how much of a difference there is between brands.

I usually go with the Two Little Fishies brand in the bucket size... pretty pure and lasts me a long time. I usually do some quick poking around online for it... heard good things about the Brightwell stuff, but can't speak from experience.

Kalk rules... unless found in small quantities in your pocket by local PD... takes a good deal of convincing. :)

That's what I'm using from Wally World. ;)

+3 I buy it in bulk at greatly reduced prices after the canning season is over. Also check you local Ace hardware or any store that carries canning supplies.

I used to run Mrs. Wages but for some reason, it would leave a lot of sediment behind. I bought some BRS kalk and it mixes up very nicely!

I got a 5 gal bucket of Kalk free on a special they ran last year. Not sure I will ever run out.

kalk and picking lime are both food grade calcium hydroxide.

exact same thing.

so grocery store.
