Hello everyone

My tank has been going about 2 months and now hitting the ugly stage. I purchased reclaimed dry rock from my local fish store when setting up which some already had coralline on. The coralline is now turning white. I have ordered a calcium test kit but would this coralline even be live if the rick was stored on a shelf in the shop ?

Any opinions would be great incase I’m overthinking this ‍♂️

Nah, that'll be dead. Then again, so will any pest stuff from the previous tank, so it's not all bad news. Welcome to R2R

I wouldn't bother with a calcium test for this, and I wouldn't concern with coraline only 2 months in.

Post a pic if you like for identification, but if it was a rock from the shelf, its not live coraline.
