Why do LFS and online live foods only have baby pods? Also looking for a diverse micro culture for the refuge.

my favorite shoestring tip is my sump light for refugium at $3.50... its a LED 5k lightbulb and grows macro and coralline algae like crazy.


Went back East and BR "redid" refugium (read - killed all my red ogo) but the coralline took off while I was away for 5 weeks; here is a photo

I did. Compare to 15 years ago it seems lifeless. I kept it with the hope of boosting my tanks inoculation.
Sadly there are may things now that don't compare well to what you could get 15 years ago. But we have to use what we have now.
