Hi there,

I am a researcher, and I need to know why do the color of fish change when they die? What are some of the scientific reasons? Thanks.

As we turn blue due to no oxygen, fish do the same as blood flow and oxygen have ceased in which the cells are no longer performing any functions

Wouldn't you be better off looking for scholarly resources instead of on a fish forum? There are certainly some very smart people on this forum, but if you're doing research, it might be better to be able to cite a paper and not just the lay understanding....
