Would this pipe work for pairing clown & RBTA?

I've seen videos where people put their clownfish in a clear pipe so that the clown pretty much has nowhere to go except in and out of the anemone (temporarily, obviously). Do you think 2 1/2" is wide enough? It's the biggest diameter I can find online.

The best thing is time. For juvenile clowns it can take months and there's no speeding the process. It'll happen just be patient [emoji4]

My clowns have been in the tank with the RBTA for like 3 months heh. You think longer?

Yup. I had a pair of percs that couldn't have given a dang about the carpet Anemone I'd spent good money on. I took it personally and tried all tricks including the silly photograph thing. One day about seven months later... they fell in love. It's instinct. It'll kick in eventually.

Patience is better than forcing anything before they have adapted.
We have been mixing clowns and nems that are not natural to each other as they would be found in the wild, this is why many have issues, sometimes they accept non natural quickly and many times not, while a natural host anemone species is usually accepted right away.
Forcing close proximity can actually cause harm.

Have you tried using sarcasm? Talk to them in a monotone voice and make them feel badly about themselves using sarcasm and witty remarks. These fish have big egos which can leave them open to manipulation.

In the wild, mother clownfish usually lay their eggs on rocks right at the base of their anemone. From day one the babies recognize the anemone as home.

Our mass-produced, captive bred babies don't have this luxury. The first things the see are flowerpots, powerheads and overflows. This is why it's so difficult to get them into an anemone, it's no longer natural for them. Many captive bred clownfish will never host an anemone but will just hang out in a corner of the tank.

That "peace agreement" decides who's the boy and who's the girl [emoji4] just like any other prison.
