After figuring out the lighting situation... My BTA is alive and happy still sitting in the same spot since I received it :)
Thanks everyone for the ideas on great ways to acclimating this stubborn critter...

what problem did you have? My GBTA was doing great for the first two weeks and then fall off. It moved acouple of times and then went white. :(

The BTA was extremely light sensitive, it would pull itself in tightly and gape its mouth when the white T5's went on for the day. Now it is open and happy.
The funny thing was.... it was the only one doing that out of the other 8 nems I have in the tank...
