Hi team!
I’m interested in getting a yellow clown goby and I’ve seen that they can breed in tanks. Do folks successfully breed them? Or do they rarely make it to adulthood?

Backstory is that I’m trying to keep only captive bred fish, so wondering if anyone out there has them.

Thanks!

People do successfully breed them, but - to my knowledge - not a lot of people rear the young, and no one sells aquacultured specimens commercially. So, you basically have to find a hobbyist who is culturing them in order to get a captive bred one. Unfortunately, people rearing the young are very few and far between, so you may be out of luck on finding one (I only know people who have them spawning in the tank at the moment; none that are rearing the young).

Figuring out the why: Has your primary reason(s) for keeping a saltwater aquarium changed over time?
