Hmmm no other symptoms?? I might be inclined to put it back in if nothing surfaces!

I'm still perplexed as to why he is not eating.
Have you tried live brine or live blackworms? The movement will entice nearly any remotely healthy fish to feed

One of mine did that when I had a dino outbreak. He might do it for a few hours or two days. He finally disappeared. Two months after the funeral, I found him in my sump, smaller and white as a ghost. He did a couple of times after I put him back in the display, but as the dinos treatment kicked-in, it became a non-issue. I also had a fish with intestinal parasites so treated the tank with metro/focus laced food. Whether it was the dinos, intestinal parasites, or both, both of my YWGs have gotten big, bold, and eat more aggressively than ever.

Still not seeing him eat. I ended up putting him back in the DT. At least there he has a better supply of pods and a chance at the food when I feed the tank. It will be interesting to see if he and his pistol reunite.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
