Trying to help a friend
out with manual "propagation" of maxi mini. Thus far 100% success without dipping but was wondering if adding a iodine dip would be helpful in the healing process.

Does anyone here iodine dip after manually splitting maxi (cut through center with sharp scalpel). If so: Immediately, in a few hours, a day after post-op, longer?

Also what concentration do you like to use (Iodine to SW)

I tried the dip after cutting one once years ago, both halves melted away shortly after. If your having success now then I wouldn't change anything.

Nah, maxi mini's are super resilient. Dipping it is not necessary. I've had so many that I've torn in two because I wanted to get it off a rock. They (both halves!) bounce back easily.
