I saw this young eel in a tide pool on Maui a few weeks ago, and wanted to share it here. Being a new eel parent myself, I was excited to see this one, but I have no idea what it is. After looking a the pics again, the head is kind of snake-like. Maybe it isn't an eel afterall?

the Yellow bellied sea snake is the only sea snake to have made its way to hawaii, and that one doesnt look anything like it, most likely an eel. neat looking one too
