I currently us Kent super buffer dkh. Ingredients listed are carbonate, bicarbon ate and borate salts. Is there a more economical way (cheaper sourse) to get the same good results I am getting with the Super Buffer dkh?

I'd avoid Superbuffer in a reef tank. Corals deplete carbonate/bicarbonate, and you are supplying carbonate/bicarbonate and borate. Hence, borate can accumulate.

Almost any other buffer for reefers is OK, and simple sodium carbonate is what most people use. You can buy it directly, or make it by baking sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).
