I'm wondering your opinions on this list of fish for my tank. Tank setup:
  • 40 gallon breeder with 20g sump
  • In sump skimmer, filter socks, chaeto refugium
  • 50 pounds of rock in the display and 1 inch fiji pink sandbead
  • Will be your typical mixed reef: softies, lps, some sps
For fish I currently have 5 (everybody is under 2 inches):
  • Ocellaris clown pair
  • Royal Gramma
  • Bangaii Cardinal
  • Yellow watchman goby
What do you think about these two for my next fish? Is 7 of these types of fish too many?
  • Midas blenny
  • Pink streaked wrasse

Depending on the size of your current fish I don't think 7 is too many. I would personally stay away from a midas blenny in this sized aquarium, they do get large (6") and tend to be a species that enjoys having plenty of rock work to hide in along with open space to swim. You often find them schooling with anthias (https://www.fishbase.se/summary/Ecsenius-midas.html) and I've heard of them getting more aggressive in smaller aquariums. With all of that said, if you're dead set on getting one you could always buy a very small blenny which will allow you plenty of time before it out grows the aquarium.

Ive got 8 fish in my 40 breeder so # isn’t a problem and those two should be great additions to the reef.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
