It's surprising how many people are not sticking with reef safe only fish on their lists. Just about every list I see on here has at least one fish that's not reef safe. Do your research before making any decisions.

1.) borbonius anthias
2.) royal gramma
3.) Yasha haze goby
4.) Hawaiian flame wrasse
5.) banggai cardinal
6.) blue reef chromis
7.) solar wrasse
8.) yellow tang
9.) designer clowns
10.) lawn mower blenny

I would tend to disagree I think most have put reef safe fish, including people with large angels
the key is to design the reef around those fish as most are safe with certain corals and some like the regal angel and Moorish idol should be placed in a reef as they tend to do better in those settings.

Thanks for the input everyone. Yeah, I do see some barely reefsafe fish on here, but still.. there are exceptions. If it has been done, I'd like to hear about it haha.

Valentini is somewhat reef safe. They're more curious than anything. If you love you bubble corals like I do. They will kill them. Just out of curiosity they will nip them and then it's like trying to stop an old air mattress from losing all it's air. Anything else I feel will recover. I want a puffer but not at the sacrifice of my 10 inch bubble.

They will eat every crab shrimp and snail and are notorious fin nippers. I would highly advise not yo put one in a reef tank

Basically I think that reef save depends on what you want. Some fish do well with sps, some with lps. Some you can't keep with shrimps or clams. If you take those options in consideration some fish become possible. En sometimes it just depends on the fish itself.
To many options, to many possibilities, so hard to choose ;)

Mine eats shrimp, but only since he saw my snowflake eel mow down on one. He rarely gets snails too, I only see him hunt snails if he's teeth are growing a bit long and he won't touch crabs that are bigger than one bite size, he almost seems scared of crabs. He's never harmed another fish either. Maybe I was just lucky enough to get a good one?
