Maracyn, maybe? It's an antibiotic.

I would say he doesn't have to be 100% to go back, but there should ideally be a skin over that wound.

No signs of improvement but now he has a white bump right on his nose..=( ordering the maracyn now and melafix just to see if it'll help hard to get a picture. Hes still eating though.

I finished up a cycle of furan 2 and am now using melafix and Maracyn. I just fed him he's still eating, but very shy and sluggish.

In order for Furan-2 to be effective, you would need to treat for 10 days minimum. You can also dose Kanaplex & Metroplex (for 10 days) in conjunction with Furan-2 in order to widen the treatment spectrum.

Eating and swimming is a good thing. After a major injury I wouldn't want to a whole lot either.

Yes, I believe for Furan-2 water change intervals are every 48 hrs.
