Hey all, I was wondering about a zoa of mine. It's been looking okay for a week or two, but now it's losing color. Generally, I'd write it down as a morph, but this time I want to make sure all is okay:

Sorry about crappy images, as cameras hate me[emoji28]
Anyway thx.

What is your question?
If the polyp is OK?
Look like it is.

Ahh, see, I don't have much experience about zoas, let alone diseases. I've had zoas morph, but never melt nor die, so I was just wondering if it was okay.
Thx, Grandis.

Just leave it alone and observe. If everything is ok with water quality and light, keeping parameters stable and a good maintenance schedule it should reproduce. Make sure flow is good, not too strong and keep only non-predator fish.
It will probably take some time for a single polyp to start generating others... Patience! Good luck!
Enjoy the ride!
Grandis.

Before pic it was on the sandbed now it's higher. How much higher? Different flow in a new area, too much light?

Ahh, yes. I had tried to acclimate it to light(but the flow has been the same)to reduce the chance of melting. But the change wasn't all that drastic, though it did change a bit.
