ZOA not opening but other corals are I think it has a disease

My very 1st thought is to run carbon. Some chemical might be in the tank and the carbon SHOULD help.

When things go south my knee jerk reaction is to change water. About 30% but keep carbon running.

Check EQUIPMENT!!! Is the pump running? Temperature. n

Did this happen slowly or quickly???

Is the light too strong? Strong light can burn stuff.

Protein Skimmer...is this working?

Place an airstone in the tank and start moving air inside the water.

Really need to know a lot more info. Age of the tank, size, lighting, other inhabitants, recent changes, other parameters inc. pH Alk Calcium

How long have you had them? What fish? Inverts?

I just started running a new bag of carbon and switched out a old one. All of my equipment is working and as the lighting goes they were happy before and I haven’t changed it. My ph is 8.3 and I have not had kids over. The tank started in early to mid November.

If it's just a frag or easily removable I'd pull it, inspect and if needed dip it. Then watch to see how that one reacts.
