Zoa setup

Hi all, is this zoa placed ok in my tank, first time ever having a coral and just wondering on placement with light flow etc thanks

All depends on your lighting. For flow I would recommend another powerhead on the opposite side, move both slightly lower and point them slightly upwards.

Hi I do have a powerhead on both sides of the aquarium, will move lower and point up, I have a fluval 90 Roma stock light 7.5 watt which I was told would be fine for Zoe’s and mushrooms by my LFS

I don't think your LFS gave good advice. 7.5 watts is probably not nearly enough. How old is the tank? Current parameters?

About 2 months old and 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 5 nitrate 0.003 phosphate 8.1 PH 10 KH ,, 1.026 salinity 1395 magnesium calcium 420 dissolved oxygen 7

For the first week or two, I like to put new zoa frags on a frag rack toward the bottom of the tank for the following reasons:

- It gives them time to adjust to my light and parameters.

- It gives me time to evaluate their final placement based on how they react during this period.
