These are one of my favorites of all time. But I had a nightmare of a time getting them to grow well :( .

Are they the same as campfires?

campfires have a green slit for the mouth.

My nightmares just recently started growing well. They were stuck on the same polyp count for a couple of months.


BTW, great picture Revhtree! what camera/lens are you using? My nightmares are pretty small, smaller then usual sized zoas but bigger then micro zoas. Are yours the same?

I used to grow these like WEEDS with vanilla instant ocean salt and an odyssey 250 watt 14k bulb. Now they hardly grow, tough polyp to do!

Only zoa I have had that completely melted down:( I'll give them another shot one of these days!
