Anyone know how long the usual splitting process takes for the bubble tip? I recently purchased one and I think I see it has started to split just curious as to how long it actually takes!

Not long. Just leave it alone. I just helped with a tank teardown (4-5 weeks ago) where I got a nem that was starting to split. Pulling it off the rock and transporting it to my house stopped the split. It has the shape of an hourglass now, but is still one nem.
