So I have had a purple and yellow tang for years together, 5+. They started in 125 gallon, now in a 315 gallon. And the purple, if he doesn’t get a ton of seaweed, will just punish and fight the yellow. So think I may have to remove. I have a 50 gallon rubber made sump plumbed in that I may put him in, that just has live rock and some macro. Has anyone reintroduced an aggressive tang after a few weeks of being gone with success? Or should I trade him/her away and cut my losses? I don’t want to sump him, and have him hop out either.

Definitely try the sump for a week or two before you give up. I’ve had success with this in the past with several aggressive fish.
