Maxima clam has turned itself about 45° in the last couple of days. First pic is from mid-January, second pic is from this morning. Other than placing the Zoas (or palys. I honestly don’t know) next to it and relocating the montipora that kept growing onto its shell a couple of weeks ago, nothing has been changed. Is this normal, or is it possibly unhappy about something?

They'll move to where they are happy with light and flow, which is completely normal.
That’s what I was thinking, but I did have just a bit of concern because I haven’t changed light or flow and it’s been happy right where I put it 6-7 months ago.

Happy or not can be determined by weather or not it is growing. Just because it is opening wide does not mean that it is happy. Is there fast growing edge on the shell is what you should use to judge if your clam is happy or not.
