Well the acro brown jelly came back yesterday after days with no new infections. As noted, issue persisted after carbon/purigen + water changes.
As I await ICP to rule out trace issues (prior tests were ok) I decided to dose the cipro into the system. I will send another aquabiomics test after treatment to compare before and after as I sent an aquabiomics test out last week.
I will follow up with updates here for those interested.
Thanks all

I suspect that if it was a chemical from the cleaner then the water changes helped, but the carbon and purigen did not do a good job at removing it. This chemical would not show in the ICP.
Depending on the aquabiomics test and the cipro treatment, it may shed some insight into the bacterial issues.
The exact cause or trigger may not ever be known. But the actions to take may be clearer for any future acro brown jelly issues.
