Hey fellow reefers, I may have found a shortcut to keeping the reef wave flowing good.
So I didn't feel like taking the M.F.s off lol.
I just pulled the tube and the propellers off. It had some gunk on it like algae or what ever.Took a stiff brush, cleaned the part that stick off the motor that hold the propellers, cleaned it,the tube housing and propeller lined it up.Bam back flowing just as new.Now grant you I hade to get my hands wet but much better then the full disassemble. Given that the motor is sealed, it's safe to say that as long as it's not gunked up and spinning freely. You can do a full tear down probably later. Am I the onky one who has tried this?If not how long do you go for a full tear down?I know result will vary.
