I recently acquired a Trio (1 M / 2 F) from Alyssa at Seahorse Savvy for my Non-Photosynthetic Reef. This species is heavily underrated IMO but it's mainly because they're not for the average Reef Tank since they show their best colors and behaviors in lower lit tanks w/ 74°F water since they come from deeper waters.
However if you do provide the proper conditions, they are one of the most stunning species that's available. The females are still pretty nice, but when the males color up, it's definitely nicer than the average Lyertail.
I'll have to document my Male since I'm anticipating that transformation.
Enjoy these shots! I just received in the past week so I'll be getting more as time goes on (go check out my build thread for that :eyes:) but this group brings so much life to the tank.
