Schooling bannerfish behavior

Just thought I’d share.

I just got a schooling bannerfish and have never had one before. First weird thing… The other fish in the tank are stopping next to him and allowing the bannerfish to either check them over (like a cleaner wrasse). Second weird thing is that instead of checking over for parasites, the bannerfish is rubbing against the fish.

Anyone else have this behavior? So far I love the fish…

Ive seen them act as a cleaner when young but also note they will go after zoa coral if any in time

Ok that must be it.. maybe it’s also just a weirdo ha.

Fortunately i took out all my corals from this tank except a few. No zoas
