My lights are going out and saw this wound on my chromis? Could it be battle wounds?

Been in the tank only a day. I’m not sure if he cut himself or it’s uronema?

Sorry if pictures are too blurry. My lights are turning off can’t get any better right now.

This appears to be a wound or bite and not consistent with uronema However, keep an eye on it to assure not becoming infected, assure salinity is not low and do not allow waste to accumulate in the tank for prevention.

Looks like a stab wound from a tang. Uronema lesions are usually vertical and longer. They also cause additional symptoms such as not eating, rapid breathing and then quickly after that, death.

Okay ty. Yeah dang I didn’t see any aggression day one from my tangs but I did put up a mirror to keep them distracted.

I work 12 hr days right now so I only got to watch them last night an hr before tank light went out.

Hope he recovers water is pretty clean.
