Hi all,

I would like to adjust the settings of my light, aquanest plus M7, properly.

This is my tank 300l

below are my settings

The channels consist of these colors:
Ch1 cool+warm white
CH2 royal blue+Sky blue
CH3 Deep blue
CH4 UV+Purple
CH5 Green+Cyan
CH6 Red+photo red

Not knowing whether a color is better lower or higher I set them all the same.

I have set the lights to never be off, to keep them at a minimum at night (21:00-08:30), reading various posts that recommend this to prevent the fish from getting disoriented and jumping out.
Let me know how I can best set them.
Thanks in Advance!

Never to be off not a good thing if you have or will have photosynthetic corals. They need to rest this process nightly IMM. So a 9-12 hour lit period is fine.

Ramp up, ramp down, fine, but if you have jumpers, then you need a lid.

Focus on the blues for corals and pop, limit reds which promote green algae’s! and provide white to your taste, the, how it should look. Ask yourself, “do my corals look good” if nit tweak it.

Never seen that controller before.

Then, never touch them again.

Thank you for your suggestion.
Can you be more specific? Can you give me the correct value that you think can be correct? I know you do not know that light but anyway are value from 1 to 100%, and i need just to understand. Regarding the white, I will adjust by myself. But for red, green and uv? What do you think?

Id Guess ch 5 and 6, 1-10 because that’s the reds and greens which can promote pest algae’s. Me I’m 1.

I’d run the ch 2,3, and 4 not more than 40-50% to start, to be safe, you can always bump up a bit in a few months if things respond well to this setting.

Most important spectrum colours IMM, makes some corals glow.

So, channel 1, the amount of whites, me, I do 1-5 if you like that look, otherwise increase up to 10.

You’ll have to be watchful, I’m trying to give you a blend of the spectrum, I can’t see intensity, so I’d rather under light than over light for at least a month.
