Crux’s Office Nano Tank

Hey y’all! Newer reefer here looking to show off my new nano reef tank. Also encourage any and all advice etc

Started the tank off on 4/2/24 and immediately dosed turbostart and 2 ppm ammonium chloride. Cycle was complete about 2 weeks after that! This is primarily going to be an all/mostly soft coral tank but trying to take my time!

Specs:
- IM Nuvo 10
- SICCE Syncra Silent 0.5 return pump
- Kessil A80
- Filter floss
- ChemiPure Blue nano
- Bioballs
- 50W Heater
- Dry rock
- CaribSea Arag-Alive live sand

Live Stock:
- Blackice clownfish pair
- 2 blue-legged hermits
- 2 turbo snails

Corals:
- 2 different Zoa frags
- Green polyp Toadstool

One thing I am noticing is the slightly bigger clownfish is picking on the other quite a bit. Caught her one time locking her jaw on the underside of the other one. Now the smaller one is staying in the top right of the tank to hide from her (see last picture). Should I be concerned?

Just a quick update. Everything is alive and going pretty well. However, I’m still noticing a lot of bullying from one of the clowns. I caught the bigger one grabbing hold of the other clown and dragging it around for a few seconds. Not sure if this behavior will continue or what exactly to do.

I did end up picking up a few new corals at the LFS cause I couldn’t help myself lol. Got a torch coral (2 heads) and another zoa frag. Seems like everything has opened up is doing well this far!

new update on the nano tank:

Unfortunately not a good update as one of my clowns was bullied to death by the dominant one. Found him dead yesterday so did a proper burial for him. Looks like it’ll just be the big bully in there for now. Maybe add a shrimp down the line or something idk.

Everything else is going well. Corals are thriving thus far with weekly 15-20% water changes. No new corals yet but we’ll see if I make a trip to my LFS this weekend.
