I just found this in my overflow, it is on the 2" overflow pipe. Pictures are not the clearest as I don't clean back there real often. It looks like a 4 legged star fish??? Should I start fishing this critter out or let him be?

Gimp Asterina.
I'd get ride of it but others keep them. Sometimes they multiply into huge populations, some are reported to be zoa predators, or SPS eaters, but I've not seen that myself, but it could be.

Thanks for the help, I lost track of it last night when the lights went off but I will find him today and remove him.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
